Do you want to get married at Stow Municipal Court?
Weddings are performed on Fridays at 11:30 am. Only one wedding is scheduled each Friday. Feel free to give us a call to determine the availability of a date at 330-564-4166.
There is a $25 non-refundable wedding fee that must be paid in order to schedule the date.
When you come into the courthouse, stop at the second floor information desk to verify an acceptable date is available. Next, go to the “Civil” window of the Clerk of Courts Office on the first floor and let them know you would like to pay to schedule a wedding. Bring your receipt back to the second floor information desk to formally schedule your wedding. Once a date is scheduled, there is no changing of dates or refunds for cancellations.
How do I obtain my marriage license?
Marriage licenses are obtained at Summit County Probate Court located at 209 S. High Street, Akron, OH 44308 (330-643-2346).
Your license is only good for 60 days from the date of issuance.
You do not have to have your marriage license in order to schedule your wedding.

Things to know the day of your wedding:
Promptly arrive by 11:15 am and check in on the second floor at the information desk.
- Bring your entire packet from Probate Court. It contains documents we will need.
- The ceremony will begin at approximately 11:30 am
- You do not need a witness; however, you may bring a small group of family or friends.
- The entire process takes approximately 15-20 minutes.
- You may take pictures.
